Declared in 1983, Lake Mburo is the only national park in Uganda with wild impala populations, and one of the few in the country that allows safaris on foot, by bicycle or on horseback among the wildlife, thanks to its compact size and to the absence of elephants and big cats in any great density, which reduces the risk to visitors who choose to explore it without a motor vehicle.
