Threatened species of Armenia

Thirteen of Armenia's fifteen threatened species sit in the vulnerable category: a long list, but a shallow one, with almost no extreme cases. The only critically endangered species is the European eel and the only endangered one the Egyptian vulture. The rest mixes steppe and mountain fauna — Dorcas gazelle, Nubian ibex, Arabian oryx, leopard — with five birds and three reptiles.
