A ledge that begins at around 6 m and then drops away vertically. Cousteau described it as one of the great natural wonders of the planet. Little Cayman is the least developed of the three islands, and that shows in the condition of the reef.
A Soviet-built destroyer, formerly known as Destroyer 356, sunk as an artificial reef. It is the only divable Russian warship wreck in the western hemisphere.
A system of shallow caves with chimneys and wide swim-throughs where light enters in shafts. It lies right next to Eden Rock, and the two are dived together from the shore, without a boat.
The islands sit on the edge of the Cayman Trench, and that geology produces shallow coral gardens that suddenly plunge into the blue. Babylon, with a pinnacle and a canyon cutting through the north wall, is one of the most celebrated sites.
A submarine support vessel of some 76 m that entered service in 1946, was retired in 1994 and was sunk in 2011 as an artificial reef. She was prepared specifically with penetration in mind, with openings cut for diving.
A shallow sandbar, barely 3-4 m deep, where dozens of rays gather daily, thoroughly used to people. It works just as well for divers and for freedivers.
A point on the north wall of Grand Cayman known for its imposing circling shoals of barracuda.
A small research vessel wreck sunk in 1981, popular with beginner divers for how easy it is to reach.
A system of three underwater canyons with barrel sponges of exceptional size, on the west coast of Grand Cayman.
