The long-tailed goral is a small, agile goat-antelope of the rocky ground of East Asia, occurring in Russia, China and the Korean Peninsula. It has a greyish brown coat with a dark dorsal stripe and a relatively long tail for the group. It lives in small family groups on crags and steep slopes, where it browses grasses, leaves and lichens. In South Korea it is designated a natural monument, and its Russian and Chinese populations continue to retreat through hunting and logging.
