Kidepo Valley

Declared in 1962 in the far north-east of Uganda, on the border with South Sudan and Kenya, Kidepo Valley is one of the most remote and least visited national parks on the African continent, for all that it holds more than 475 bird species and a great diversity of large mammals, including one of the few cheetah populations surviving in Uganda. Its extreme distance from the capital, Kampala, has kept it relatively clear of mass tourism.
