Paraiso Eslovaco (Slovensky Raj)

Declared in 1988, the Slovak Paradise is celebrated for walking routes unlike any others in Central Europe, which climb quite literally up through narrow river gorges on metal ladders, chains and walkways bolted to the rock beside the waterfalls themselves — an infrastructure built up gradually since the early 20th century that turns hiking into a semi-technical undertaking without any need for climbing gear.
