Crabs, lobsters, prawns, barnacles and woodlice: mostly aquatic arthropods.
What it means
Crustaceans are arthropods with two pairs of antennae and a carapace that many species harden with calcium. Most live in the sea, although there are freshwater species and some, such as woodlice, have adapted to dry land. The smallest, such as krill and copepods, are among the most abundant animals in the ocean and form the basis of the diet of many fish, birds and whales.
