Threatened species by country
Greenland is the only Arctic list in this series: polar bear, walrus, hooded seal, reindeer, snowy owl and the Greenland shark. But sixteen of its thirty-three species are North Atlantic fish and sharks — cod, haddock, bluefin tuna, makos — and there are six cetaceans, the North Atlantic right whale among them. Only two are critically endangered: the European eel and the tope.
