The grey-winged trumpeter, known in Spanish as trompetero aligrís, jacamín de alas grises, tente aligrís or grulla, and also as agamí, aramí, jacamín or yacamí, is a species of gruiform bird of the family Psophiidae that lives only in Amazonia, in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil and north-eastern Peru. The trumpeter gives calls with a deep, loud, resonant sound that carries great distances, which is why it is tamed by indigenous peoples to act as a guard, since it is also credited with the ability to frighten off and hunt snakes.

Its call is a deep, ventriloquial booming that it produces with its bill closed thanks to an elongated, coiled windpipe: it is very hard to tell where it is coming from.
It is kept semi-domesticated in many Amazonian communities as a guard: it announces the arrival of snakes or strangers with a great racket, and settles into village life by following people about.
