Parsa

Declared a wildlife reserve in 1984 and raised to a national park in 2017, Parsa forms the eastern extension of the great Terai ecosystem it shares with neighbouring and better-known Chitwan. In the same year it became a national park, a Bengal tiger reintroduction programme began that has established a stable breeding population within only a few years, in one more instance of Nepal's remarkable overall success in bringing the species back over the past decade.
