Royal Manas

Established in 1966, it is the oldest national park in Bhutan and is officially described by the government as the crown jewel of its conservation system. It shares a porous, unfenced border with Manas National Park in the Indian state of Assam, forming with it a cross-border biological corridor along which tigers, elephants and golden langurs move freely between the two countries, with political borders doing nothing to interrupt their traditional migration routes.
