Wildlife by group and country
Four Austrian parks and twenty-one birds, and the list splits in two: the wetlands of Neusiedler See — World Heritage and transboundary — and Donau-Auen, with spoonbill, avocet, purple heron and great bustard; and the high mountains of Hohe Tauern, the largest at 1,856 km², where the bearded vulture, the golden eagle, the capercaillie and the rock ptarmigan join the list.
Places come from reviewed species-place links; the species shown at each place are only those in this group.
